I had an amazing end to last week, spending a day in Salem at the Cranky Pressman, working toward putting to bed an amazing project that I'll be discussing in more detail very soon. Dovetailing with the trip nicely was this object - a job case - that my folks dropped off this weekend. It belonged to my grandfather, who worked with type quite a bit. Casey snapped some great pics:
My grandfather had a bunch of these cases, and he liked to use spare ones to collect little treasures. That's the job this one served and, if you look closely at that first photo, you can make out something that's quite awesome:
Catch that? It's part of a sticker featuring one of the greatest logos ever, that of the U.S. Bicentennial star emblem. Awesome.
