As you can tell, I've been on a letterpress kick of late. We should all be. I've been trying to get back together all of the type and sorts that are in my family, because I'd like to be able to use them. Casey took some great photos of what we've got so far, two of which we've thrown through our patented reversification filter so you can see what we're dealing with. Here they are:
Nice!! The printer my pops works for got rid of MOUNDS of wood type and related goods. All thrown out. Wish I had grabbed more of it. Good on you. WOODTYPE RULES.

Kris: Woodtype DOES rule. I wish I had a big collection, that's for sure. I'm hopeful to rescue as much as remains in the family.
Jamie: All of the Goodyear cuts came from my grandfather, who worked with type and lived in Akron. It appears as though he's got a few logos from through the years, too, because that tiny one looks way older than the other ones. And a friend who works there today says that Goodyearite was some sort of product type, but that they don't make it any more. Keith and I are hoping to use one of these for the calendar project we started recently.
Josh: Yeah, it's awesome, isn't it?
