For our second entry in the Detroit Institute of Arts/Let's Save Michigan poster design contest, Casey and I decided to focus on urban gardening. We chose to design this poster due to the capability of urban community gardens to provide city dwellers with healthy and affordable food, as well as the potential for the practice of collective gardening to increase community cohesion. In addition, we were inspired by the fact that Michigan is second only to California in agricultural diversity. Here's our poster:
