Thanks to Casey and seeing her live, I've become a staunch Kathleen Edwards advocate. Her music is at once approachable, challenging, and honest. She's hard to categorize - other that flat-out good - so she typically gets lumped into the alt-country world. Her new album, Voyageur, comes out next January but, to tide folks over, she just released a 7" single, Wapusk. Both songs, which you can stream here and buy here, are wonderful. Equally impressive is the single's packaging, designed by mega-talented Canadian illustrator/letterer Darren Booth. He's posted some process shots at his journal, and below are a few. Stellar work, Darren!
